Mr. Smatrakalev, can you introduce the Professional organisation of Bulgarian palmipeds producers ?
The Professional organisation of Bulgarian producers was created in 2012 by 77 founding members. Today there are 93 members and 3 others who are in the process of joining. The interprofession represents 90% of the production in Bulgaria and is part of the European Federation of Foie Gras.
Does the end of this year looks better than last year for the Bulgarian foie gras ?
Despite difficulties recently encountered in the sector, the consumption of Bulgarian Foie Gras remains stable. Products of Bulgarian origin have already found their place on the European market by winning the trust of consumers by their quality and excellence.
Apart from the end of year celebrations, what are the privileged moments for Bulgarians to put foie gras at their table ?
For several years, foie gras has found its place in Bulgarian gastronomy as a festive and exceptional product. It is a delight that is tasted throughout the year at special events.> Back to the frontpage
