The 56th edition of the Paris international Agricultural Show has just ended with a total of 633.213 visitors. Cheeses, jams, honey, fruit juices, chocolates, participants were able to feast on all sorts of flavours and promote French terroir products.
As every year, foie gras was represented by a series of family stands coming from Gers, New Aquitaine, Occitanie, Brittany, the Grand Est (Great East) and even the Reunion Island. Bernadette Laban, producer of foie gras and fatty palmipedes products in Béarn, came this year to the Agricultural Show with her son and grandson to present her tasty recipes of foie gras with salt and figs filled with semi-cooked foie gras. "A whole poem", she said happily.
As in 2018, the foie gras was awarded the gold medal at the “Concours Général Agricole”. Several producers received this distinction: “La Gourmande Foie Gras Jacquin”, “la maison Godard” and also “la maison Jean Larnaudie”. These award-winning products for their sensory characteristics and taste qualities are a tribute to the French terroir and also to the passion of men and women who came to share their know-how at the Salon.
